About
Rachael Caskey is an intuitive, eclectic artist creating everything from mixed media to modern abstract art. Known for her bold use of color and texture, her work intersects everyday life, nature, and spirituality to foster a sense of mystery, love, and connection.
Born in Sacramento, California, Rachael was raised in rural Southwestern Pennsylvania by her single father, aunt, and grandparents. Early days spent feeding cows, fishing in nearby creeks, and calling out to “Mr. Echo” at the local dam sparked a lasting love for nature and creativity. Her grandmother, Ruth, a poet and homemaker, nurtured Rachael’s artistic interests alongside her uncle, a photorealistic painter.
Rachael pursued dual degrees in Communication and French at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, studying abroad in Amiens, France. Visits to the Louvre and Orsay Museum reignited her passion for art. After years balancing a career in insurance, government, and motherhood, she took a leap of faith to embrace art full-time.
Working from her home art studio in Manor, Pennsylvania, Rachael creates layered, intuitive pieces with acrylic paints and vintage papers. Her work reflects mood, nature, spirituality, and personal triumphs, with each painting evolving naturally — much like her own life’s journey.
